How to Get a Gtbank Dollar Master Card

Are you looking for a solution on how to get a dollar MasterCard from any of the Nigerian Commercial Banks, I have gotten mine from Guarantee Trust Bank (Genbank) and I am here to tell you how I was able to get a dollar MasterCard and probably why you need to get a dollar MasterCard.

For me being a blogger requires that I have a Dollar Card for my online daily transactions and I requested for the dollar card and finally, i have it.

Now the most important questions is how to get this Dollar MasterCard in Nigeria, though I will be using Gtbank as a reference am sure that the process can be the same with every other Nigerian bank.

How to Get a Gtbank Dollar Master Card

You can now request for a GTBank Dollarcard via any of the following channels:

Dollarcard Request via Internet Banking:

    Login to internet banking
    Go to ‘Cards’ section
    Click ‘Dollar Cards Request’
    Click on ‘New Request’
    Fill the form and click submit

Dollarcard Request via GTWorld App:

    Log on to GTWorld
    Swipe to the left
    Click on “Cards” section
    Click on “Dollar Card Request”
    Complete the form and submit

Dollarcard Request via any GTBank Branch:

    Kindly visit any GTBank branch to request for a GTBank Dollar card

As you can see above you can request for Dollar Master Card by first opening a dollar account called Domiciliary Account designed to help you conveniently carry out foreign currency transactions from the comfort of your home, office or abroad. The account can be funded in Dollars, Pounds or Euro through traveler's cheques, foreign currency cheque lodgements, cash inflows, and deposits.

Requirement for opening of  a Domiciliary Account
To open a dollar account called domiciliary Account you need the following required documentations.


    Duly completed application form
    Copies of acceptable means of identification (Driver's License, International passport, National I.D Card, and any other acceptable identification document deemed fit by the bank)
    One passport photograph.
    Two (2) duly completed and suitable reference forms
    Utility bill issued within the last 3 months

If you already have  functioning Domiciliary Account then all you need to do is to visit the nearest branch of your bank to request for the dollar card or you can as well apply online in some banks such as Gtbank

GTBank Dollar Debit MasterCard (USD)
Dollar Debit card is an international debit card issued in partnership with MasterCard Worldwide and directly linked to your MasterCard account. It is denominated in US Dollars, but can also be used to settle purchases in other major currencies. All transactions carried out using this card are reflected on the account instantly.

Requirements for getting Gtbank Dollar Card
There few requirements for non-domiciliary account users and for those who already operate a domiciliary account as you can see below.


    Non-Account holders:

 Customer will be required to open a dollar domiciliary account with the following documents: Completed (USD) Domiciliary account form, 2 (Two) Referees, 1 (one) recent passport photograph, a recent Utility Bill, a copy of your Driver's License or International Passport and an issuance fee of N1,000 (or it's equivalent in dollars).

    (USD) Domiciliary Account holders:

Customers will require the following: Completed Dollar Card Application form and an issuance fee of N1,000 (or it's equivalent in dollars).
