As technology is gradually developing, many processes that have been stressful are now easily done online. One good thing about online processes is that it is very convenient, one could be anywhere and still perform those activities perfectly.
For Nigerians who have Bank Verification Numbers, there are more than one ways you can check your BVN; one of them is viewing it online.
What is BVN?
The Bank Verification Number popularly called BVN, is a biometric authentication system which is used in banks introduced into the Nigerian banking system by the Central Bank of Nigeria to limit illegal banking operations in Nigeria.
This modern safety measure corresponds with the Act of the Central Bank of Nigeria, 1958, to deter fraudulent transactions in the Nigerian banking system. Your fingerprints, your face and other important personal information are captured during BVN registration then links them to your bank account.
How to check your BVN online?
You might have tried to carry out some activities with regards to your bank account, and therefore you needed to provide your Bank Verification Number (BVN) but unfortunately you don't have one handy.

Most people don't remember their BVN numbers because they failed to add it in their messages on a mobile phone or the contacts list. Some did register for BVN and they have not received it on your cell phone via SMS but you have no reason to worry, because you can check your BVN online.
Firstly, you can't check your BVN online if you had not been activated by your bank to perform transactions online using their online platforms. If you didn't register for that, you can simply stroll to your local bank to do so
With the username and password used when registering for online banking, you can check your BVN online. Go to your account on the Internet banking system - banking app or web portal. Log in to your account online and navigate through the options displayed, probably you would see where to get your BVN number.
This option may not be available for all banks, so you can contact your bank's customer service to make clarifications!
