Aso Ebi is a typical Yoruba word: “Aso” meaning cloth while “Ebi” means family.
This specialty of clothing is the cloth usually worn by a family during ceremonies or funerals. This when done this way outlines the prestige in the entity.
The Aso Ebi trend has however gone beyond family basis and friends and well wishers can also wear the Aso Ebi. You might have gone to a funeral in your community(village), the uniform dress and/or dress worn on such ocation is referred to an
Aso Ebi. It is traditional.
