Getting loans in the grassroot region has been as tedious and near impossible as it seems. That is why day in and out new less tedious way of obtaining loads pops up. This is same as the NYSC quick loans for corps members. Despite this, there have been no recent loan concentration at the grassroot. This have left grassroot empowerment unattended to for so long a time.

This may have been what Evangelist Elizabeth N. Praise had conceived before 2006 unveiling of her non-governmental empowerment initiative. Her led ISHIBA, as it is generally called has aided many in different ways mainly by monetary empowerment. Through the grants they are giving out, they aim to eradicate hunger, poverty and social injustice.

Grants are non- repayable funds or products disbursed or gifted by one party, often a government department, corporation, foundation or trust, to a recipient, often a non-profit entity, educational institution, business or an individual. Unlike loans, grants are not to be paid back. So, the Ishiba grant is free no matter how much you get from them.

ISHIBA Development and Empowerment Center (NGO) was founded by Evangelist Elizabeth N. Praise in 2006 but duly registered under the Nigerian Cooperate Affairs Commission, on the 25th of August 2016 in Abuja. Ishiba is also a multi purpose cooperative society.

What Does Ishiba NGO Really Do

→ Agriculture: As one of the promising sector in the country's economy, Ishiba wants to offer a helping hand in the agricultural sector. they’re therefore making agriculture an integral part of their initiatives by encouraging more people to go into the sector. Various seminars and workshops on specific agriculture with professional mentorship programs; supply of seeds and inputs, fertilizers have been held.

→ Skills: Empowerment starts with solving problems but these problems can't be solved without first acquiring a needed skill(s). The empowerment scheme creates way for for people to be given the neccessary skills needed for empowerment.

→ Grant: This is the key factor behind this scheme. Money is the key to move or even kickstart a business plan. Ishiba grant these Capitals to budding entrepreneurs.

Has there been any success story ascribed to Ishiba?

It is known that ISHIBA has empowered so many and is still empowering. For now, Ishiba grant has gone into empowering only those who are considered less privileged, like widows, orphans or people who are seriously in need of urgent money . Hospital bills have also been paid by them, the've fund surgeries and provide materials to people in distress.

Your persistence to buy the form is risk. The fact is that the scheme isn't effective probably for the mean time. Their contacts were provided on the post, you can try them. There are other latest empowerment scheme you can checkout here

I believe in honesty and sincerity in all I do .Deceit and falsehood are twin evils I strongly abhor. Giving needy and jobless Nigerians false hope will do much evil and cause more harm. ISHIBA should not promise what they cannot give. The Holy Bible exhorts- "Do not start building a house when you know you do not have enough materials to finish it".
