The Guarantee Trust Bank (Gtbank) recently introduced a new method of sending and transferring money to someone through a mobile phone number instead of the bank account number.

When I first saw this info I asked my self how possible can it be to send money to someone using phone number alone without an account number but the truth is that is working and presently all Gtbank customers can send money to anyone through his or her phone number but the question is how?

I have previously introduced the new Gtbank 737 easy banking when it first came into play and since then more features and options have been added to it and through the same 737 Gtbank short-code banking you will be able to easily send money to anyone through their mobile phone numbers.

I asked myself many questions about this new method of sending and transferring money through phone numbers such as:

- Is it meant for only Gtbank customers?
- What if the person doesn't have Gtbank account?
- What if the Phone number is not linked to any Bank?

I asked myself these three questions but after digging deeper to gather some information I have come to know that the new method of sending money by Gtbank is well planned in such a way that it doesn't matter if the receiver has bank account or not but the sender must have an account with Gtbank to be able to carry out such transaction

How does it work?

This method is fast reliable and faster and all you need to do is to simply dial *737*3*Amount*Phone NO# to send cash to anyone using just their phone number.

As I said earlier it doesn't matter if the beneficiary has Gtbank account or not because the beneficiary will receive a withdrawal code via SMS that will enable him/her withdraw the money from any Gtbank ATM nationwide.

As a beneficiary if you wish to withdraw the money you received, you simply need to visit the nearest Gtbank ATM, then among the options on the ATM screen selects the 737Cashout option and inputs the code that you have received to withdraw your money instantly.

Amazing right?
