2018 Waec Withheld Results - When Would It Be Released?
Posted on: October 25, 2018, 10:40:15 PM
One thing is being innocent and the other is being proven innocent. This is what some people might be resoning after checking but in vain for their withheld results. When an examination venue is suspected of malpractices, every candidates in a way or the other bear the grit of it.

The west african examination council, WAEC has been known to withheld results from exam venues suspected of malpractices. This kind of action usually affects the culprits and the innocent ones as well.

Most atimes the body has been merciful to most institutions and all the withheld results are released. However, in some unlucky cases, only some are released after double checks. For the one of 2018 withheld results, waec is still releasing results to cleared students.

Other batches of results will be released for those who had some or all subjects withheld.

Still on the withheld results of the WASSCE for School Candidates, 2018, NEC meeting was held from Tuesday, 2nd to Thursday, 4th October, 2018 to decide that results of those found guilty of exam malpractice should be cancelled and results of those exonerated be released fast.

The West African Examination Council [WAEC] will hold the 66th Nigeria Examinations Committee (NEC) Meeting to determine the release of held results. It is of note that relevant Divisions/Departments have been put on notice to ensure that the results of candidates earlier withheld because of exam malpractice but exonerated by the 66th NEC are released as quickly as possible.

When will WAEC finalize releasing of withheld results isn't disclosed but this will certainly be before the new admission period to afford those who are to process their admission the oppurtunity of using their 'awaiting result'.

Another issue is that the results seized due to malpractice whic have been double-checked may not be released.

The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) is an examination board that conducts the West African Senior School Certificate Examination, for University and Jamb entry examination in West African countries. Established in 1952, the council has contributed to education in Anglophonic countries of West Africa (Ghana, Nigeria, Sierra Leone, Liberia, and the Gambia), with the number of examinations they have coordinated, and certificates they have issued.
