Leagoo Mobile has announced and released an affordable Android smartphone on their Z series (Leagoo Z9) featuring 1GB RAM, 8GB ROM, 5.0 FWVGA TN display, Android Go operating system, 2000 mAh battery capacity, and 5MP rear camera + 2MP front selfie camera.

Obviously, Leagoo Z9 lacks a lot in terms of features but perfect for budget-minded users who don't wish to spend lots of cash on a high-end smartphone that will cost more and offer good features and functionalities.



I will not write off this phone because you don't expect it to have the same features with Infinix Hot 6X that cost N44,000 while it cost N17K plus.

If you are looking for a small cheap Android smartphone that still offers you some good value for your money then consider going for this phone but if you are looking for the best smartphone with best features then you need to look for something else.

Leagoo Z9 Review

The phone is designed with 5.0-inch FWVGA display,  854 x 480 resolution and 136.5*72.3*10.4mm dimensions coupled with an outstanding half doted body design that makes it attractive, unique and easy to fit in your palms.

It has an optimized Android GO operating system that allows you to enjoy all the features that Android Os offers with unlimited access to games and apps from play store.

To perfect the performance of the smartphone it has MT6580M Octa core, 1.3GHz processor that ensures good speed and stability.

In other words, we have onboard 1GB random access memory, and 8GB internal storage memory while some believe the phone has 16GB storage memory but after checking Leagoo official site, I noticed it only offers 8GB Rom and not 16GB.

The camera is not of the best quality but a 5MP rear camera and the 2MP front is something you that can keep you going until you have any money to upgrade.

To summarise it, the new Leagoo Z9 is powered by a removable 2000 mAh battery capacity which is not that bad because you still have the advantage of using two batteries since its removable compared to non-removable battery smartphones.
