The Big brother Naija is the most anticipated reality tv series in the country currently. Many had peaked the show at last season's 'Double wahala', but based on the huge number of intending housemates which came out for the 27
th february audition, the viewers might surpass projections.
The show features 20 housemates whose hope of continuing on the show depends on votes by viewers. To elongate their stay, they have to impress the viewers by staying real and natural in the show.
Going by the anticipation of this show, viewers have queried
'when is the start date of BB naija 2019?, What is the day BB Naija would begin? To help answer this, the messages excalated by the show coordinators would be relayed. Before that, it is common of the organizers to start the show in January. This year's own couldn't be held then as the presidential election hindered such.

“Big Brother will still hold but because it’s a political year, we can’t really control to what extent what the housemates will say in the house and we don’t want it to become a tool that will heat up the polity”
“The show itself normally gets twisted so we don’t want to mix it up with politics in any way. Its supposed to be entertaining, we wouldn’t want it to be divisive in any way.
“If you notice, no religious activity gets discussed in the house too, if you want to pray you can pray, we don’t want anyone to be forced to do it or divide Nigerians along those lines. So after the elections and inaugurations, it’ll happen.”
The update didn't state a definite date for the show leaving viewer more perplexed, however another update by them came.
They made known that BBNaija pop-up channel will open on Friday, 1 March at 10 am and will run till Sunday, 31 March at midnight on DStv channel 198 and GOtv channel 29 featuring highlights from the previous two seasons – See Gobbe and Double Wahala.
There would also be a special reunion show from Monday, 18 March to Sunday, 31 March and feature the stars of the BBNaija Double Wahala season.
