I Just noticed now that a push message showed on my Screen that the Opera browser has allocated me 50MB for daily browsing using the browser.
Since my data subscription just finished and there was no airtime balance on my MTN SIM card, I decided to give it a try.
And Voila!, I browsed on Livescores.com for free, and I searched on Google and logged into my Facebook account all for free without any subscription!.
It also works on Airtel SIM cards.
The 50MB is ONLY for browsing and downloading small files on Opera Browser, Opera-Mini and Opera News apps.
Also, even if you have active data on your MTN or Airtel SIM cards, it won't be touched unless you are downloading big files or streaming on these apps.
Meanwhile, to confirm the news I search Google and noticed that the 50MP daily data is officially announced by opera and not a free browsing cheat
or tweak as you may call it.
According to the news
All users of Opera Mini and Opera News will receive the free daily data with a limit of 50MB/day and all it takes is to enable data savings (auto, extreme or high) in Opera Mini or use Opera News and you will browse for free up to 50MB automatically.
Let's not forget that Opera is one of the most popular mobile browsers in the world but the move to offer free daily 50MB data is surely a positive move designed to reward their users and as well attract more users onboard. However, Facebook was the first to offer such services allowing all Facebook users to browse freely on their Free mode with up to 50MB daily data allowance. The only problem with the Facebook free mode is that you will not be allowed to view images or watch videos
Certainly, 50MB is nothing but big enough to keep you updated on the latest news and daily trends for hours especially when you use opera mini which has features to compress any webpage and save data for you.
Kindly comment below if it worked for you.
