A few hours ago I received a warning email from Guarantee trust bank (GTBank) informing me of a certain scam email being sent by scammers to defraud their customers, the title of their email was "Dear Customer, We Didn't Send That" scammers have found a way to send a mail that looks exactly like the one GTBank usually sent to their customers using their template and logo. Those fraudsters are not only targeting GTbank users but as well send the same mail to other bank users in Nigeria.


I wrote some helpful guide here on how you can identify scam emails but the most important thing to always remember is that Guarantee trust bank (GTBank) or any other financial institution in Nigeria will never ask you for your ATM PIN or all the numbers on your ATM card. Anybody or platform that request for your personal details such as ATM numbers and Pin is a scam and should be avoided at all cost.
