For the first time, MTN Nigeria has introduced a digital version of its Season of Surprises promotion as part of its ongoing efforts to provide and reward consumers.


Using the new myMTN NG app or by calling *135#, MTN users may participate in the giving process this year by referring any MTN subscriber of their choosing and receiving a variety of presents in return. Some of these include Jumia shopping coupons to be used to purchase curated holiday hampers, 1GB of data valid for seven days, and free TECNO mobile devices.

Adia Sowho, Chief Marketing Officer of MTN Nigeria, commented on the company's digital strategy, saying, "This year's edition has been digitized because of the limits on physical travel imposed by COVID-19." Giving allows people to connect, and this is a fantastic time for everyone to be a "Yello Santa," spreading happiness and good cheer!"

The Season of Surprises is being held in keeping with MTN's tradition of giving back to communities and Nigerians as a whole. People from all around Nigeria have been surprised with food items, technological gadgets, household appliances, mobile devices, bus tickets, flights, and cash donations in prior rounds of the competition. The Season of Surprises is slated between December 17 and December 24, 2021.
