Two Nigerian security guards caught on camera dancing while on duty have been slammed by Nollywood star Yul Edochie.

The father-of-four took to Twitter to express his displeasure with the dancing security personnel.

He said that the desire to be a "trending topic" on social media has led to individuals doing "all kinds of crap."

When the song 'You Want Bam Bam' became viral, security guards known as The Happy Boys were spotted dancing to the beat.

A security guard dancing while on duty is a violation of their responsibilities, according to Edochie's tweet.

To be popular on social media, individuals engage in various nefarious activities. It would be best if you treated your work with respect.

After a long day at the office, you deserve to party until the sun comes up. You'll regret it if you give it a whirl with me. Try it again, or I'll fire you."

When the video went viral, there was speculation that the employees had been fired for their dancing.

In a statement on Friday by the Chicken Republic, it was claimed that the guards had not been fired.

This security personnel was not dismissed because they were dancing in our shops, the Chicken Republic said in a statement. We must correct the record since this is incorrect.

To ensure the safety and security of our customers, employees, and assets, we outsource our security to a variety of private security organizations that specialize in these services.

Private security business managers were concerned about the dancing security guards when they viewed their footage in action. They feared that they weren't focusing on their primary mission to keep you and your loved ones safe.

There are usually various viewpoints on every subject, and we have carefully taken your criticism. With the security business, they have told us that the security guards have not been dismissed, paid their dues, or provided retraining," we said in an email.
