Amazon has bought Jim Iyke's newest film, "Bad Comments," where he stars as an award-winning actor and executive producer.
Amazon's special offer would make the social impact-centered film, which deals with the effects of cyberbullying, the highest negotiation thus far in the African film business. Amazon.com, Inc.
Harlem International Film Festival (The people's film festival) will screen the film from May 5 to 15, 2022, as an official selection. An annual film festival in Harlem, New York, the Harlem Festival honors based on films longer than two hours prevented Bad Comments from being nominated for an AMVCA (Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards), but that hasn't stopped the film from making ripples in Nigeria and abroad.
Film stars include Jim Iyke, Ayo Makun, Osas Ighodaro, Yemi Blaq, Sharon O. Ooja, Chiwetel Agu, Pat. O. Ozokwor, and others. The film was released in August of 2021.
It was a great way for him to celebrate the achievement of the Amazon contract by bringing together his followers, visitors, and Nollywood actors and actresses for a viewing party.
A sequel to "Bad Comments," named "The Crusader," was announced and is now in pre-production, keeping the audience excited. Filming will commence in Dubai, Dar es Salam, Tanzania, and Lagos in July 2022 under the auspices of the research location's potential film Sin and Ordinary People two television programs that Jim Iyke's production firm, 6th Sense, is working on.
