Big Brother Naija, one of Africa's most popular reality television series, has begun accepting applications for its seventh season. Once again bringing in winners like Mercy Eke, Whitemoney and Laycon, the program has began its auditions for season seven.

A statement to this effect was made public on the BBNaija Instagram account on Sunday. "Biggie is calling you back home. #BBNaija Season 7 auditions are officially open," stated the statement.

Is it possible for you to be the next Efe or Miracle, Mercy, Laycon or Whitemoney? It's now or never for you to show Biggie what you've got." To apply as a competitor, contestants must visit the official Big Brother Naija website.

This renowned reality show has produced many famous Nigerians, making it one of Nigeria's most watched television programs.

Katung Aduwak, a scriptwriter and production assistant, won $100,000 in the first season of the reality program, which aired in 2006. The show's second season (See Gobe) didn't begin until January 22, 2017, after an 11-year hiatus. Efe Ejeba, a Warri, Delta State-raised rapper, earned the season's main prize of N25 million.

Miracle Igbokwe, a pilot, won the third season (Double Wahala) in 2018. He received N25 million in cash, a Hyundai Tuscon SUV, appliances worth N3 million, and a year's supply of Pepsi and Aquafina water, as well as a trip for two to an exotic place.

Mercy Eke, a video vixen and businesswoman, won the 2019 season, dubbed 'Pepper Dem,' taking home N30 million, an Innoson SUV worth N25 million, a trip to Dubai, and other prizes.

Season 5 was dubbed the "Lockdown Edition" since it was staged in 2020 during the COVID-19 epidemic. Innoson Motors SUV worth N30m, two-bedroom apartment, trip to Ireland, and other rewards went to Olamilekan Agbeleshe, also known as Laycon, who graduated from the University of Lagos and is a rapper.

In 2021, Whitemoney was awarded N90 million in rewards for winning the competition.
