Jim Iyke, a Nollywood actor, has spoken out about his conversion to Islam. On Wednesday, it was reported that the actor had converted to Islam.
As a result, several Muslims have welcomed him into their faith. In a video posted on his Instagram page, Jim Iyke responded by dismissing the claims, claiming he had no intention of ever converting to Islam. The viral photographs that sparked the accusation, he claims, were taken from a film he's presently filming in Ghana.
"Let me briefly address the elephant in the room before returning to my specialty." I believe it is vital for me to address a recent rumor. "I did a film in Ghana on religious fanatics, and someone stole a photo from the film and said I switched my beliefs."
I have the utmost regard for people of all faiths, but I have no plans to ever change the religion to which I adhere. My devotion to my religion is unwavering at every level. "There is a certain boundary that should not be passed, but I don't see why someone would do these things," he added. "I don't understand why someone would do these things."
By vehemently denying the rumors that he had become a Muslim, Jim Iyke has shown the unwavering commitment that he has to his beliefs. The photograph that an unethical blogger used to spread the story was proven to be from a recent movie set by the actor. Jim stated that he respects Islam as a religion but that nothing would even break his faith and that people should disregard such misinformation.
