How to Unshare Data on GLO Network
Posted on: October 18, 2023, 06:03:41 AM
If you are sharing your data with someone but don't know how to unshare data on Glo then I am going to teach you how to remove the person from your Glo data-sharing profile but before then let us find out more about Glo data sharing and how it works.

GLO is a short name for "Globacom Limited" an indigenous Nigerian mobile telecommunication network that has become one of the major telecommunications operators in Nigeria and is headquartered in Lagos. It was founded in 2003 and has since become one of the leading telecom providers in the country.

About Glo Data Share

Glo Telecom allows their subscribers to share their data plan among family and friends conveniently, and they have different data sharing options known as:

  • Glo data share
  • Glo Data Gifting

Glo data sharing and gifting are the same but work differently, you can actually buy and gift data to any Glo subscribers but when it comes to sharing your Glo data it means allowing friends and family members to use your current data plan irrespective of their location as long as they are within Nigeria.

Glo allows you to add up to 5 subscribers to your data plan and when you do those 5 Glo subscribers will be able to use your current data plan. However,  data gifting is not the same, when you gift data you decide the percentage of data you wish to buy or send to your loved ones without giving them access to your own data plan.

How to Unshare Data on GLO

I had to expatiate more on data sharing to provide you with an insight into the main purpose of this post which is to teach you how to unshare data on GLO and this simply means disconnecting anyone you have previously connected to use your Glo data plan.

For you to think about how to unshare data on GLO means that you have already shared your data with someone else and wish to unshare the data but you have nothing to be worried about. I am going to teach you how to do it.

Option 1

Glo has a USSD code that allows you to do more with your Glo line, this USSD code allows you to buy data plans, share and unshare data plans, gift data, check your data balance, and lots more.

  • Dial *777# and follow the prompt to add, remove, and list people sharing your subscription.
  • Alternatively, visit hsi.glo.com from your device (using Glo SIM) and use the sharing feature.

Option 2

If you don't know how to navigate your way around using the *777# shortcode then there is an easy option for you to follow below:

Dial *127*00*[friend’s number]# or Send “Share [friend’s number]” to 127. e.g. Dial *127*00*045XXXXXXX# or Send Share 023XXXXXXX to 127.

To REMOVE people from sharing, dial *127*01*[friend’s number]# OR Send “Remove [friend’s number]” to 127 e.g. Dial *127*01*045XXXXXXX# or Send Remove 023XXXXXXX to 127.

To LIST PEOPLE sharing your subscription, dial *127*02# or Send “List” to 127
Alternatively, visit jsi.glo.com from your device (using Glo SIM) and use the sharing feature

Finally, the question of how to unshare data on GLO has been answered here but if you still face any issues or are still not sure how to unshare your Glo data plan from the people you shared it within the past then use the comment option below to let me know.
