we all have our troubles, challenges and difficulties, in the course of achieving our goals, living our lives and co-existing with others, problems and disagreement arises, our ability to conquer all these challenges and move on, goes a long way to determine our success, just as the saying, "whatever does not kill you makes you stronger". but the greatest challenge we can face in life is ourselves.
YES, you are your biggest Goliath. God has made life so simple that in your own little world within you, you alone matters, the decision you make inside this little world of yours is actually what you will accomplish outside. you complain of so many things that happen to you, but if you really want to know the truth look inside you, it is only that which you make up your mind to do that you do. in life you go as far as you limit yourself, no other person sets the boundary but you, like Frank Tyger said "your future depends on many things, but mostly on you" so,
get ahead of yourself and conquer your biggest Goliath, YOU! "our business in life is not to get ahead of others but to get ahead of ourselves, to break our own records, to outstrip our yesterdays by today, to do our work with more force than before".
how much do you want to achieve? surpass that limit you create for yourself then you can truly say, you are successful, like J. mason reminded us to " do more than reach, stretch". learn to use yourself and not others as a yardstick for measuring you for "there is little that can withstand a man who can conquer himself" (louis xiv).
you just have to believe in yourself and decide because "you may succeed if nobody else believe in you, but you will never succeed if you don't believe in yourself"(J. msdon). just aim high and make the decision that you are meeting your target, don't stop there, but go the extra mile, stretch, surpass your limit, then only will you be successful beyond your widest imagination.
