There is always a work around when it comes to downloading Torrent files on Blackberry Phones with the help of BlackBerry BBtor which i am here to show you the way and how to Download Any Torrent File On BlackBerry Using BBtor

The easiest way to download large files in situations where our internet connection can’t be trusted is via torrents. Torrent files are simply named with the extension .torrent which can only be downloaded with some specific type of software.

There are several torrent software flooding the market this days but very few are available for mobile users and just two for now can be installed on BlackBerry phones. In fact the two applications which can be installed on BlackBerry are made specially for BlackBerry phones and so can’t run on any other mobile operating platform.

Some days back, I showed you guys two methods via which you can download torrent files directly on your BlackBerry phones. The first method required that you download and install an application called Nux Torrent which is a light weight application that runs very smoothly on your BlackBerry device without any technical issues of any kind, while the second was based on how to download torrent files on BlackBerry phones using UC Web, Opera Mini, or the normal BlackBerry browser.

For today’s tutorial, I am going to be showing you guys another method via which you can download torrent files on your BlackBerry phone using an application called BBtor.
BBtor is the first ever torrent client for BlackBerry phones which is simply based on a peer-to-peer file sharing protocol that helps make distribution of large files easy.
To use this application on your BlackBerry phone, follow the steps below Download the BBtor application by clicking here
Once the download is complete, locate where the .zip file was stored in your BlackBerry device and extract its content. Open BBtor 1.4 folder.

You will see several BBtorrent.cod file extensions there. Locate and Click on the BBtorrent.jad file extension. Now click on download so that the .cod file extensions for your blackberry will be downloaded and installed. Once the download and installation is complete, Go to your BlackBerry Home Screen and click on the installed BBtor application icon to open it.

On the BBtor application interface, click/tap on Settings. From the options in the pop-up Settings page, select the location where you want your downloads to be stored by clicking on Select Folder for Downloads. Notice that on the same pop-up Settings page, you can also specify which network connection you want to use for your torrent downloads ( Wi-Fi is more preferable for a faster download speed but in situations where there are no Wi-Fi connections available, you can select BES or BIS which is the normal BlackBerry data subscription plan) which by default is already set to default, meaning that it simply detects the connection your BlackBerry phone is using and connects to it.

Next go back to the BBtor home by pressing the back button on your BlackBerry phone. Unlike Nux Torrent, BBtor comes with two
options for starting a torrent file download. You can either decide to Add Magnet Link (URL link which points directly to the database location of the file you want to download) or Add Torrent (Downloaded torrent file link of the file you want to download). Any way you
wish to take will work but I prefer to download the torrent file link so that I can have access to it or maybe share with a friend. In this tutorial, we shall be going through the Add Torrent method. To do this, you will need to search for the torrent file you want to download by searching for it on Google or simply visiting any torrent file sharing sites. Once you have located the file you want to download and downloaded its torrent file link, Go back to the BBtor interface and click/tap on Add Torrent.

Locate the downloaded torrent file link in your BlackBerry phone and select it. You will be prompted to enter a registration key for BBtor. Go back to the BBtor Installation folder and open the file named Registration Key. Enter the keys into the field provided for the registration key in the BBtor interface. Patiently wait for your download to start which will be indicated by an arrow icon pointing down and the download speed and percentage downloaded displayed above the file name.
With that done, you should start downloading any torrent file of your choice directly on your BlackBerry device.

Enjoy your blackberry to the fullest and remember to invite and tell your friends about this great forum
