Techno mobile phone brand is one of the most used Mobile phone in Nigeria but some people find it hard to configure Techno phones for Internet browsing manually and that is why i decided to show you how to configure your Techno phones manually because some techno phones cannot be configured automatically for example if you are using MTN network you can send SETTINGS to 3888 to receive settings automatically but some techno phone might not be recognized automatically which means you have to configure your phone manually.

How To Manually Configure Your Tecno Phone for Internet browsing

On how to configure Tecno phones manually, here's how

access your menu.
Find the Internet icon... Hit it to open up to your carrier(s), WAP and DATA ACCOUNT
Pick and open up DATA ACCOUNT, then pick click on GPRS.
Now you have to edit in your MTN, GLO, ETISALAT, Airtel one-at-a-time among those pre-listed carriers..

Dont worry as none of these carriers are pre-programmed yet. Just edit the first to:

Account name : Nigeria MTN

APN                 : web.gprs.mtnnigeria .net

User name      : web

Password       : web

Auth. type       : Normal

Primary DNS    : 010.199.212.002

Second. DNS   : 000.000.000.000

Click on Options and SAVE.  Click on DONE.  That's it for MTN

Now go back and back to the internet page.

Then click on WAP, then SETTINGS, then SELECT SIM.  Make your choice., and it gets activated.

Now give it a whirl, and see what happens.

Same style of set-up for other carriers here in Nigeria.

If you dont know the internet settings for the other network, checkout this post here MTN Etisalat Airtel Glo Android Gprs Internet configuration settings

I have 2 of these Tecno that i have manually configured to work with any of the 4 major networks here in Nigeria.
