I first published this piece on February 27, 2015, but have decided to update the page since I have discovered some new methods on how you can easily check your phone number in any of the Nigerian Mobile Telecommunications.
The following questions will be answered on this page:
- Codes to check my MTN phone number?
- Code to check my Glo phone number?
- How to find my Airtel's number?
- Shortcode to check 9mobile phone number?
If any of the questions above is what brings you to this page then you are at the right place at the right time because you will surely find the answer you seek before leaving. However, I have written a single post on how to check your airtel mobile number
but I thought it will be wise to provide the same question to other network users, all together in one page.
Don't show your family and friends that you don't have a good memory to remember your phone number instead pick up your phone and dial the shortcode that will reveal your phone number in seconds.
Codes to check my MTN phone number
There are many ways to check your MTN phone number when you can't remember it, simply dial *123#
and follow on-screen prompt. Respond with option 1 and send it to select My tools option. Then select option 5 in My Tools to demand My Number, you are done and your phone number is displayed on your screen.
One other method is to simply send a call me back SMS to a nearby MTN subscriber, as you don't have airtime credit to call. *133*theotherMTNnumber#
And the message received at the other end will display your number.
Code to check Glo phone number
Checking your Glo phone number has become easier with new tricks that I have discovered, initially you will be asked to dial *135*8# to see your number but sometimes it doesn't work and even when I tried it a few minutes ago.
The new updated method on how to check your GLO phone number is to dial 777*#
on your phone and it will display your number instantly. I don't say to add * in the front like this *777*# it will not work just 777*#
dial it as if you want to call the number and you will see something like MSISDN: 2347054885... remove 234 and add 0 in the front in case you don't understand but the 234 is country code number.
How to find my Airtel's number
Checking your Airtel phone number is not that hard, you only need to dial *121# and follow the on-screen prompts as follows.
Select 1, and send for My Account option. Then the next screen, select 1 and send as My Number option, and snap! Your screen displays your mobile number.
Shortcode to check 9mobile (Etisalat) phone number
Etisalat, as we all know has become 9mobile, so we should be using the name 9mobile and not Etisalat again. Meanwhile, if you wish to reveal your 9mobile mobile number you simply need to dial *248#
and your number will be displayed. That's all
