The Enterprise Technology Specialist of Intel, Shada, Oluwatobi, has said that the Chip maker maker created the new Intel Core M processor in order to fill a gap in the market place. Oluwatobi who spoke to Vanguard in an interview recently in Lagos disclosed that before the introduction of the Intel Core M processor, there was no solution that delivered high performance within a thin, fanless design.

Stating that the new Intel core M processor and platform power reductions raise bar on battery life, he said that the new solution provides outstanding performance with greater energy efficiency to enable long battery life in cool, quiet fanless designs.

“Intel Core M processors are a great choice for consumer whose top priority is mobility. Performance improvements on the Intel Core M processor are a combination of 14nm process and design enhancements.

“The processor is also called a Central Processing Unit, or CPU. Think of the CPU as the computer’s “brain.” It’s responsible for carrying out the instructions of a computer program, and it’s the main source of the computer’s functions. Also, the CPU is responsible for dictating a PCs battery life, and performance.

“There are six major components in a PC: the processor, the graphics card, hard drives, the memory, the motherboard, and optical drives. Of these, the processor is the most important part to consider. A powerful Intel processor will help you discover the possibilities of your new PC”, he explained.
