MTN Backup is a service designed for MTN Subscribers to enable them keep their contacts safe on MTN Data base in case if their phone or Sim gets damaged or lost and this means that if anything happens to your phone or Sim you will be able to restore/retrieve your contacts data to your new Phone and Sim easily.

[n][/u]How to Activate MTN Backup on your Phone and Sim card[/b][/u]

To use MTN Backup you need either or both of the following,
=> A Registered Sim card
=> a mobile phone that has interent connectivity features and on within MTN data coverage.

MTN Backup supports over 400 compatible mobile phones and customers can also retain their old numbers by simply doing a SIM swap to the MTN Backup Sim.
The subscriber will also need to save SIM contacts to their phones prior to initiating a Sim swap.

How much does it cost for MTN Backup and Restore?

According to MTN First backup session will cost N100 though the price might have changed, subsequent Backup session will cost N50.

Restoring/Retrieving of Contacts only cost N50.

Note: These cost apply irrespective of the number of contacts,Backup up you have.
