WWW = World Wide Web
Collection of internet resources (such as FTP, telnet, Usenet), hyperlinked text, audio, and video files, and remote sites

HTTP = Hypertext Transfer Protocol
Is an application protocol for distributed, collaborative, hypermedia information systems

URL = Uniform Resource Locator
This represent the address of a web page. Each page has its own unique web address

DNS = Domain Name System
A system for naming computers and network services that is organized into a hierarchy of domains.

IP = Internet Protocol
A method or protocol by which data is sent from one computer to another on the Internet. Each computer (known as a host) on the Internet has at least one IP address that uniquely identifies it from all other computers on the Internet.

TCP = Transmission Control Protocol
This is a standard that defines how to establish and maintain a network conversation via which application programs can exchange data.

This is a standard security technology for establishing an encrypted link between a server and a client—typically a web server (website) and a browser; or a mail server and a mail client

UDP = User Datagram Protocol
Is one of the core members of the Internet protocol suite.

DHCP = Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol
This is a client/server protocol that automatically provides an Internet Protocol (IP) host with its IP address and other related configuration information such as the subnet mask and default gateway.

CDN = Content Delivery Network
Is a system of distributed servers (network) that deliver webpages and other Web content to a user based on the geographic locations of the user.

HTML = Hypertext Markup Language
A standardized system for tagging text files to achieve font, color, graphic, and hyperlink effects on World Wide Web pages.

PHP =  Hypertext Preprocessor

JAR = Java Archive
 Is a package file format typically used to aggregate many Java class files and associated metadata and resources (text, images, etc.) into one file to distribute application software or libraries on the Java platform.

CGI = Computer-generated imagery
 Is the application of computer graphics to create or contribute to images in art, printed media, video games, films, television programs, commercials, videos, and simulators.

POP3 = Post Office Protocol 3
A protocol for receiving e-mail by downloading it to your computer from a mailbox on the server of an Internet service provider.

IMAP = Internet Message Access Protocol
This is a standard protocol for accessing e-mail from your local server. IMAP (the latest version is IMAP Version 4) is a client/server protocol in which e-mail is received and held for you by your Internet server.

SMTP = Simple Mail Transfer Protocol
This is an Internet standard for electronic mail (email) transmission.

FTP =  File Transfer Protocol
