I tried to login to my web hosting Cpanel recently but whenever my login authentication completed successful it will immediately return back to login page again with the error message that Your IP address has changed.

I was wondering why the error message because i normally login to my cpanel without any problem but i remembered that i changed my internet provider from GLO to MTN which i normally login successful without any problem while using Glo but now am using MTN problems arises.

I decided not to ask my webhosting provider to help me out because i figured out that the error keep appearing because my new IP was not recognized and all i need is to figure out how to make it work.

I tried downloading Ip changer addon for Firefox browser which i did but no matter the IP address i change i still cannot login to my cpanel even after changing many IP addresses.

I tried clearing my browser history and catch but none of them worked, i also tried changing to No Proxy and Auto detect connection but none of them worked but i finally solved the problem but the question now is how.

I remembered since my host only recognized my Glo IP address that i usually use to login now i should try using MTN Ip directly and i went to my Firefox settings to change my browser to Manuel settings to mtn defaults ip address which is 10-199-212-2 port 8080 trust me after saving my settings none of the error message Your IP address has changed appears again and that is how i solved my problem.

How to change firefox browser Ip address
Am sure many of you knows how to change their firefox IP address manually or set it to automatically detect settings but in case you don't know how to do that kindly follow this steps to change it.

Open your Firefox browser and look by the right hand side to see 3 bold line menu icon as you can see below.


Then click on the OPTION BUTTON and then ADVANCED-NEWORK MENU-SETTINGS select MANUAL PROXY CONFIGURATIONS and input the Ip address i provided above with the proxy port.

To do the same on your Chrome browser simple follow this steps below.

Click on the Chrome Menu on the browser toolbar.
Select Settings.
Click Show Advanced Settings.
In the “Network” Section, click Change Proxy Settings

How to change Internet explorer browser Ip address
You can equally get it done on your Internet explorer browser following thse steps

    Click the CONNECTIONS tab and then click the LAN SETTINGS button. ...
    Check the check box USE PROXY SERVER FOR YOUR LAN.
