How to recharge your phone easily from your bank using Short-codes

It all started with ATM machine that allows anybody to recharge his or her phone using ATM card but now things have become easier because you can recharge or top up your phone airtime by dialling a shortcode which I will be sharing with you soon.

Recharging your mobile phone from your bank account by dialling few simple codes is really interesting because you can recharge your phone anywhere any day without any need of going to any bank but first let me help those who still want to know more about recharging their phone using ATM machine.


Buying Airtime on ATM Machine:


Recharging your phone using your bank or other banks ATM machine is really simple and the difference between recharging with ATM and through Shortcode is that with ATM you must go to any nearest ATM Machine available while recharging your phone don't require you going anywhere.

Now to recharge your phone using ATM machine simple insert your ATM card to any ATM machine.

Enter your security access code when asked, then look at the left-hand side you will see Airtime Recharge, Select it and choose the network you want to recharge such as MTN, GLO, ETISALAT, AIRTEL ETC.

Select the Amount and enter the number you want to top up then confirm it and press enter and that's it, you will be credited in a few seconds.

To make things easier you can simply dial a simple shortcode

Note some bank recharges activation while some don't one it's the main sim you are getting alert with, which means that the line is recognized in your bank.

Below are the codes you can use to recharge your phone from your bank account.

Guaranty Trust Bank (GTB) Recharge Code


For quick self-recharge, dial *737*amount# and SEND from your mobile phone (This must be the from the mobile number registered in your account). E.g. *737*1000#
To recharge for other numbers, dial *737*Phone no*Amount#. E.g. *737*08055500555*1000# (Note you will have to verify the transfer by entering the last four digits of your ATM card)
Daily Limit is ₦5,000 Naira

Fidelity Bank Recharge Code


For self-recharge, dial “*770*amount# and SEND from your mobile phone (This is accessible using all types of mobile devices). E.g. *770*1000#
To recharge for family and friends, dial *770*Phone no*Amount#. E.g. *770*08023456789*1000#.
Daily Limit is ₦5,000 Naira

First Bank Recharge Code


For FirstBank account holders, you can top-up your mobile lines directly and instantly by dialling *894*amount#
E.g. *894*1000#
Daily Limit is ₦3,000 Naira

Sterling Bank Recharge Code


With “Go Recharge,” tap your way to seamless, stress-free airtime top-up. Just dial *822*Amount#
E.g. *822*1000#

Skye Bank Recharge Code


For Skye Bank, dial and send the following code *389*076*1*Amount#
E.g. *389*076*1*500#

United Bank for Africa (UBA) Recharge Code


For UBA customers, to recharge your phone with any amount of airtime dial *389*033*1* Amount#
For example, if you need N600 airtime: *389*033*1*600#

For Ecobank customers, to recharge your phone dial *326*Amount#
E.g. *326*500#

Zenith Bank Recharge Code


For Zenith Bank customers Simply dial *302*Amount# and Send from your mobile phone

For Wema Bank customers Simply dial *322*035*amount# and send from your mobile phone
E.g: *322*035*1000#

Hope this will help you recharge your phone even while on your sleeping bed or anywhere but remember you must have some money in your bank before recharging your phone.
