Using a shortcode known as USSD code is the fastest and easiest method to check your first bank account balance and if you learn this one you might not need to know any other methods. However, this won't work if you do not with the phone number linked to your bank account but if you have it then let's proceed.

The First Bank shortcode is 894: With this code, you can transfer money, buy airtime for yourself and others, check your account balances, make purchases, pay your bills, open accounts, and lots more.

1. Simply dial *894*0#, and a list of masked debit cards linked to your account is displayed.
2. Select your preferred debit card, and enter the 4-digit PIN for the selected debit card.
3. Create a new USSD PIN if you are asked to do so and you are done.

How to check First Bank account balance using Mobile App



Firstbank mobile app allows you to do a lot more not just check your account balance. With the First Bank mobile app, you can easily send money, recharge your phone, and buy data, you can also pay bills like Nepa bills, and subscribe to GOtv, DStv, etc.

To check your First Bank account balance using Mobile App simply follow the steps below:

1. Get the FirstMobile app from the App Store or Google Play here and install it on your mobile phone.
2. Log in to the FirstMobile App using your username and password.
3. Your account balance will be visible on the main screen. Tap the "Account Balance" icon on the dashboard if you can't see it.
4. The next screen will show your account balance, including your available balance on other accounts you have with FirstBank.
5. By selecting the "Transaction History" button, you can also see your transaction history.

So now as long as you are with your ATM card you can check your account balance conveniently on any Bank ATM machine and not only your bank.

1. Visit any bank functional ATM machine and insert your ATM card.
2. Input your ATM PIN and press enter.

4. Select the account type (Savings or Current)
