UBA Offers N22.7m in Promotions to Reward 66 Customers
Posted on: December 19, 2022, 10:03:28 AM
In an ongoing effort to promote a saving culture, United Bank for Africa (UBA) has given out cash prizes totalling N22.7 million to its clients as part of a savings promotion.

The bank told its clients that the Super Savers drawings will be bigger and better in 2023 during the draw conducted in Lagos over the weekend.

Customers need to create a UBA Bumper account and save a minimum of N5,000 monthly from qualifying for the UBA Bumper Savings Promo. Domiciliary account holders may also qualify with $100 in multiples. The promotion is applicable to account holders of the bank from the six geographical zones in Nigeria.

Sampson Aneke, the head of UBA's retail, digital, and transaction banking, declared: "The bank is happy with the enthusiasm shown by teeming customers of the banks and promised that the 2023 edition of the Super Savers draws will see more wins by the customers and that there will be regular quarterly draws where the customers will win sumptuous prizes."

"We observed that individuals valued the attractions, which matters most. People were responding well during the promo. Additionally, you can only make it better after understanding what your clients want to appeal to a larger audience.

Because the project was launched in the middle of the year and will now have a full year to complete, we will have almost three or four times the money for those who will be recognized next year. Today, we gave rewards to roughly 66 people. Therefore, it will improve as we reward more individuals and increase compensation.

He continued that the bank is not engaging in this activity for financial gain, adding that "any decent business organization has what they term a CSR budget." This is a component of our CSR project, which aims to give back to the community that has supported us throughout the years and is our core customer base.

Aneke stated, "In terms of financial inclusion, I can say we are doing quite well. Today, we have the third-place position in the sector. We currently rank third in terms of agents acquired, but by the end of the following year, we hope to be first.

At the drawings, 10 NextGen Account holders received N180,000 in monthly pocket money for a year, 20 customers with Kiddies and Teen accounts won N200,000 each in educational awards, and 10 Savings Account holders won N1,000,000 each.

One fortunate domiciliary account user received N1 million in the Domiciliary Account category, and another fortunate client took home the N2 million top prize.

Customers who attended the occasion were treated to surprise drawings, where two of them each won N100,000.
