GOtv New Subscription Price starting (6th November 2023)
Posted on: November 02, 2023, 05:47:37 PM
Here is the new GOtv Subscription Price as updated on 6th November 2023. I saw a notification message on my GOtv today about their planned Price review and increment that will take effect on the 6th of this month, The news came as a shock because they increased the price of the GOtv Packages recently and they are ready to review the price again at this hard time.

About GOtv

New GOtv Subscription Price (Updated 6th Nov 2023)

GOtv PackageMonthly Subscription Price (Updated)
SmallieN1,300
JingaN2,700
JolliN3,950
MAXN5,700
SupaN7,600
Supa+ PlusN12,500

Current GOtv packages and Price

GOtv offers about 6 different channel packages and presently their subscription price is as follows:

• GOtv Smallie = N1,100 Monthly, N2,900 Quarterly and N8,600 Annually
• GOtv Jinja = N2,250 Monthly
GOtv Jolli = N3,300 Monthly
• GOtv Max = N4,850 Monthly
• GOtv Supa = N6,400 Monthly
• GOtv Supa+ = N10,500 Monthly

The price above is the current GOtv subscription price. However, the price will not be the same starting from 6th November 2023. You can see the price increment notice I saw on my screen today 2nd November 2023.

I subscribed to GOtv Max at the rate of N4,850  and now according to them the price will be N5,700 starting from the 6th of this month, which means that they added an additional N850 and that's above 17.5% increment from the current subscription price.  I am not sure about other packages but I will update the list on the 6th of November but you should expect something like:

• GOtv Jinja = N2,645 Monthly
• GOtv Jolli = N3,800 Monthly
• GOtv Max = N5,700 Monthly
• GOtv Supa = N7,500 Monthly
• GOtv Supa+ = N12,550 Monthly

I am not sure whether the 17.5% price increment affected all GOtv packages including the newly launched GOtv Supa Plus or Just for the GOtv Max but if it affected all packages then the new subscription price will not be far from what I listed above. However, only GOtv Max's new price of N5,700 is confirmed others are my predictions but I will update the price after they reveal the current prices on the 6th of November 2023.

Why GOtv increased their subscription Prices?

If you can remember the GOtv Max started with N3,600 monthly but after continuous increments, it's now N4.850 and heading to N5,700. The question is why is GOtv increasing their subscription prices when many can't even afford the current price? Well, their answers are always the same they always Tag it as an unfriendly economic situation in Nigeria.

MTN Nigeria also does a similar thing with their Lumos solar system and now GOtv is adding more pain to Nigerians with their continuous price increment. GOtv and DStv are the best no doubt but they should remember that they are not the only cable TV provider in Nigeria, others like Startimes, Metro, and the rest of them are very slow in reviewing their subscription prices because they understand the situation in Nigeria, but what do I know?
