The MediaTek smartphone maker popularly known as Tecno Mobile has recently introduced its latest Android smartphone called Tecno Spark 5 a successor to the old Spark 4 but now with more interesting designs and features. If you wish to know everything about Tecno Spark 5, then stick with me as we look deep into the features, design, and functionalities of the new smartphone.

Interestingly, Tecno Spark 5 comes in 3 versions (Tecno Spark 5, Spark 5 Air, and Spark 5 PRO). In this post, we are going to look at the differences and similarities between both versions and it's going to be interesting. Display & Design

The image above shows what the 3 smartphone looks like. However, both smartphones offer 6.6 inches HD screen display apart from Spark 5 Air that has 7 inch Dot notch display Just like Infinix Hot 8. Spark 5 and Spark 5 Pro has Dot-in-Display design and looks exactly like Infinix S5.

Looking at the screen size, Spark 5 and 5 PRO offers the same 720*1600 screen resolutions with 164.7x76.3x8.75mm dimensions while Spark 5 Air has 720*1640 screen resolutions and 174.64x79.27x9.05 (Height, Width, Thickness) dimension. At the back, we have the Fingerprint sensor at its usual position alongside the quad rear cameras.

Available Colors
Both versions of Tecno Spark 5 comes in 4 different colors such as Ice Jadeite / Spark Orange / Seabed Blue and Cloud White. You can go for anything that suits your style. Moreover, the new Spark 5 lacks some modern features like motorized pop-up selfie camera, in-display, or side-mounted fingerprint sensor but I guess it was necessary to ignore those features in other to keep the price low.

Operating System & Processor

Spark 5 and Its PRO version is equipped with the new HiOS 6.0 based on Android Q designed to add some security features, improved OS performance, and user experience. Android Q operating system brings some additional privacy and security features. One of the interesting features that Android Q offers is the new Dark Theme that not only reduces the screen's irritation to the eyes but also saves energy and extends the battery life effectively.

However, Tecno Spark 5 Air is equipped with HiOS based on Android Q (Go edition), using Go edition of the operating system means that some features have been stripped off to allow more space on the phone memory. Coming to Processor, both versions of the phone is powered with a 2.0GHz Octa-Core processor, designed for optimum performance and stability.

Memory Sizes

If you care more about the memory size then I will recommend that you go for Tecno Spark 5 PRO with 4GB Random Access Memory (RAM) and 64GB Read-Only Memory (ROM). Spark 5 PRO is the clear winners when it comes to memory size. Spark 5 and Spark 5 AIR offers 2GB RAM + 32GB ROM which is not that bad

Camera

Tecno pays more attention to the camera of this phone than anything else and if you need an affordable smartphone with a high-quality camera then you should consider going for Tecno Spark 5.
