I downloaded some stuffs online today and after installing them i noticed that lots of things have changed with the firefox browser which includes redirecting me to chrome://quick_start/content/index.html when ever i try to open a new tab and i was so annoyed but i understand that am the one that put my self to such mess by using Express Install that allowed the software to install wanted and unwanted stuffs to my computer but the finest thing is that i finally solved the problem.

Very simple after researching and trying to delete all the new apps installed on my computer the problem still remains untill i stumbled on this simple solution that actually helped me solve the problem of chrome://quick_start/content/index.html when opening new tab in firefox browser.

Solution for chrome://quick_start/content/index.html new tab hijacking:
Just follow this simple steps below and get your firefox browser back to normal

1- type on the firefox address bar: about:config
2- Add to the search bar provided above: browser.newtab.url
3- left click on the above results and Change/modify it to: about:newtab
